Threads does not have a screen that lists the accounts you follow that do not follow you back. You can scroll your following list and check people one by one, but that gets slow fast. The reliable shortcut is your own data export: it holds your full followers list and your full following list, and the difference between the two is exactly the list you are after.
The Idea in One Line
Your non-followers are the accounts that appear in your following list but not in your followers list. Meta gives you both lists in one export, so nothing needs to be guessed or scraped.
How to Get the Two Lists
- 1.Open Meta's Accounts Center from Threads or Instagram settings.
- 2.Go to Your information and permissions, then Export your information, then Create export.
- 3.Select only your Threads profile. One profile per export, so an Instagram export will not work here.
- 4.Choose Followers and following, set the format to JSON, the date range to All time, and export to your device.

Turning the Export Into a List
You could open threads/followers.json and threads/following.json and compare them by hand, but with any real following that is thousands of names. Upload the ZIP to WhoUnfollowed instead. It reads both files in your browser and shows every account you follow that does not follow you back, along with the date you followed them. Leave the ZIP as it arrived. Unzipping or renaming it is what breaks uploads.
What to Do With the List
Seeing the list does not mean you have to act on it. Some non-followers are accounts you follow because you like them: creators, friends who barely post, brands. Others are people who never followed back and whose posts you no longer read. The follow date helps you tell them apart, since an account you followed years ago and never heard from again is a different case from one you followed last week.
If you do trim your list, unfollowing on Threads is silent. Threads sends no notification either way, so the other person will not be told.
Only One Export? You Still Get an Answer
